    Alexander Barrett is the founder and principal broker of 38 Real Estate. A native to the Napa Valley, Mr. Barrett has gained extensive experience working in architecture while in New York City, Barcelona and California. In 2000 he started his first design firm Progetto Barrett which focused on residential and small commercial projects. In 2004, Mr. Barrett created 38 Spatial, LLC. With the market as client, 38 Spatial's design build ventures included projects on both coasts. The firm focused on designing and building luxury apartments and lofts in New York City. After nine years of architectural design and on-site construction/project management experience, he founded 38 Spatial, Inc. in 2009 as a full service architecture and interior design firm here in Saint Helena. The vision to marry both architecture and real estate services has led to the creation of 38 Real Estate. As a client himself in the buying and selling of real estate, Mr. Barrett understands the importance of service and is dedicated to providing the highest service for his clients during their real estate endeavors.

    Cailin Monahan is a licensed real estate agent and the newest edition to 38 Real Estate. Before moving to the Napa Valley in 2011, Ms. Monahan resided in Washington, DC where she began her career in commercial real estate working for Cushman & Wakefield. During her time at Cushman & Wakefield, she was teamed with a top producing brokerage group that focused on land sales and development, which naturally established her excitement for the real estate market. Following her time at Cushman, Ms. Monahan served as the Marketing & Communications Director for Sonoran Policy Group, a full service advocacy firm that provides access to U.S. and foreign governments. Ms. Monahan is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English. She is an alumna of the Nonprofit Management Program at Duke University and during her time in the capital, founded a non-profit organization, still active today, centered on raising funds and awareness for cervical cancer research.

    Specializing in agricultural, vineyard and winery properties, Avis Kalfsbeek has lived and worked in the Napa Valley since 1998 and been a licensed real estate agent since 1995. She completed her broker's license in 2013. Avis' great grandfather came from Holland to farm in Northern California and her grandfather and father farmed after him. It is with a strong agricultural background, and experience selling agricultural properties, that she offers her services to assist buyers and sellers of land, vineyards and wineries.     René Barrett grew up in Central California and upon moving to Sacramento she gained a passion for connecting directly with people on a one-on-one basis. With this passion, René obtained her real estate license in 2004. She then went to work fitting hundreds of home buyers into that "perfect new home" as a Community Sales Manager with one of the largest home builders in the nation. Throughout the years René would often visit the Napa Valley and it didn't take long before she realized it would one day become her home. In 2008 she took up a part time residence and has recently achieved her goal in making it her permanent home.
